| Following Nigeria’s switch to a democratically elected government, the country’s economic growth went through a boom period. As private enterprises expanded, they created an urgent demand for software solutions that would enable them to continue to develop efficiently and cost effectively. Allied Soft Is Born Recognizing this need, the concept for Allied Soft was born in 1999 and the enterprise immediately began developing software concepts that they could bring to the burgeoning market. Fully established in 2001, Allied Soft immediately embarked on an ambitious project to develop an enterprise people management software suite. It was decided that this software would specifically address the needs and requirements of African companies and organizations that were seeing rapid expansion as a result of the good economic climate. Corporate Growth Following a long period of meticulous research and development, Allied Soft proudly unveiled Xceed™ Global HR version 1.0 to the Nigerian market at the end of 2002. Simultaneously, the company had continued to forge strong business links with key international IT companies and players. Through these connections, Allied Soft offered vital consultancy services to assist Nigeria’s business community to develop using globally accepted technological solutions. As a measure of Allied Soft’s success in this endeavor, it was awarded Microsoft Country Manager Partner of the Year in 2002. By February 2003 Allied Soft had signed its first Xceed™ client, Conoco Energy Nigeria (now ConocoPhillips Nigeria), and its customer base expanded rapidly thereafter. Today it has clients from a broad range of industries that include leading banking institutions, airlines, oil and gas companies, insurance organizations and governmental institutions. Following the receipt of another Microsoft award in 2004, this time for being Telecommunications Sector Partner of the year for West, East and Central Africa, Allied Soft continued to enhance its partnerships with a number of global IT companies, including Microsoft and HP. As a result of this forward looking strategy, Allied Soft became the first Nigerian company to earn product certification with Microsoft and gain recognition as an Independent Software Vendor and Gold Certified partner. In 2007, Allied Soft’s flagship product, Xceed™, was certified by HP to run on their industry standard Integrity servers based on the 64-bit Intel® Itanium® 2 processor. A Full Suite of Products Competitiveness within the African business market continues to grow and more and more companies seek out software solutions that enable them to streamline their operations and improve efficiency. Allied Soft has continually kept pace with this demand, developing a range of software solutions that caters to Africa’s business community. While the Xceed™ product range still remains the company’s flagship, Allied Soft has also developed Xceed™ Essentials to help small and medium enterprises with their HR concerns. Their FrontDesk™ solution provides time and attendance control, as well as area access management, while Extend Citizen™ provides the ability to capture and manage a virtually unlimited number of biometric profiles that include fingerprints and iris scans.
